Lady Jeanette West

“Behold how good and pleasant it is for the people of God to dwell together in unity.”

I bid a joyful greeting to each of you in the wonderful name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is my personal welcome to you to celebrate Jesus with us as we lift his high name. For the Lord is good and worthy to be praised!

As we continue to follow God's mandate for our lives, you and your family's partnership with us and our family is so greatly appreciated. This year holds the promise of being our best year yet. God has truly shown himself mighty within this fellowship and through our pastor. Pastor and I love you and we look forward to all that God has in store for us! I am eagerly anticipating an even greater move of God here at The Kingdom Center.

Remember God has positioned us so we can put forth the effort again to really make a difference for the next generation. Our best days are here now and will continue to come!

Greetings from Lady Jeanette West

Lady Jeanette West’s Bio continued

First Lady Jeanette West is a woman of God who drives change while building and nurturing other women in the ministry. She leads from the front and works hard in the background. Her commitment to ministry is exemplary. She has a heart for God and for people.

First Lady Jeanette West gave her life to Christ over 45 years ago. She’s from Memphis Tennessee and graduated from Manassas High School.  In college she studied engineering and technology to pursue a career as an Electronics Technician. In 1978 it wasn’t common for women to pursue this technical career path. She worked in that field for four years. As her home life and ministry responsibilities grew, it was inevitable that she would also enter full-time ministry.

First Lady Jeanette West works in ministry alongside her husband Pastor Robert L. West, Sr., the pastor of Kingdom Center Ministries, to whom she has been married for over 50 years. Her ministry path began, however, in the Children’s Ministry at St. Paul AME in 1967. She continued working with children at Bethel AME in Cedar Rapids IA. form 1978 -1980. In 1982 she served with her husband at Lamar Terrance for over 20 years. When her husband became the Pastor at One Faith Fellowship, the scope of her ministry grew.

First Lady Jeanette West created the Sisters of Strength ministry in 2007. This ministry focused on the growth, spiritual development, and well-being of women. It addressed various topics such as healthy relationships, successfully living as a single woman, fulfilling purpose and more. In 2011 these workshops and training sessions developed into the Sista’ Please Women’s Conference. This conference is now an annual event drawing women from across denominations and the community.

First Lady West is also an active member of the Tennessee Baptist Women’s Missionary Union (WMU).  For over ten years she served as the Director for Sisters Who Care for WMU Mid-South Baptist Association. In 2016 she became the first African American Director of WMU Mid-South Baptist Association. In 2018 she became the first black Vice President of West Tennessee of the Women’s Missionary Union of Tennessee.

Nonetheless grateful for her various roles in ministry, she cherishes the roles she holds within her family. First Lady Jeanette West is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She has five children who, along with their families, are also active in Kingdom Center Ministries.
